Visual Candy

Hello, friends!

I was going to show you something really cool that landed in my lap, but it's not quite ready for the spotlight. So... next month, I think!

Instead, I will give you some more art samples!

Here are some new ornaments that can be found in the corners of the overland map.

Our shark friend there shows up in the Morhai Sea (Norwegian for mother shark). This great wild spirit is a patron to northern heathens who attack merchant ships and raid coastal villages.

Next up is a hungry boy who lives in the jungle...

Jungle drakes descend from the dwindling bloodlines of dragons. They have inherited the toughness and ferocity of their forebears, but their intelligence is used only for the hunt. They are alpha predators in a land of high peril.

Hmm… maybe I should do a bestiary post on here at some point…

Lastly, I'd like to show you some more challenge cards. Sandy is close to finishing the deck!

First is the Dragon of Ganodi, coming from the karmic realm of suffering.

Next, the Wheel of Fortune, with colored spokes representing the eight karmas. Behind this is the Gray Goddess, a figure that you may hear more about in the story. When this appears in a challenge, you will gain additional redraw attempts.

After that, we have The Flame. This represents the empowering flame of the spirit venerated by the Flame Keepers. The Flame grants bonuses to skill xp if it is in your hand at the end of the challenge.

Finally, we have The Mists, representing the mists of Aegis, a mystical force that breathes into the world from the outermost layer of reality. The Mists card is elusive, as it forces you to redraw your entire hand when it appears (including itself). But a certain fortuitous combination of cards may force The Mists to stay, granting a high point value for your challenge attempt.

That is all I have for you today. I know, too short. I get a lot more art than this in a typical month, but I want to keep most of it a secret. Some day it will be on your screen. Some day.

For now, take care. Drink plenty of fluids. Get some exercise. Ready yourself for a new day.
