Hello, friends!
Build v0.3 is done! Of course, I know that number doesn’t mean much to you, because version numbering can be a bit arbitrary; but my current estimates say we’re about 50% complete. Less than that with art assets (25%?), more than that with code (~90%).
“Core feature work” is now complete. This means I could make a game’s worth of content without building a single new feature, but I will still probably add a few new things around the edges to support whatever crazy ideas I might have. There are still a lot of aesthetic UI improvements that I’ll have to make, stability improvements, etc. AI still needs a lot of work to catch up with the new character abilities I added over the last six months. And, of course, I have a mountain of scripted content to create still. Overall, content is sitting at about 15% completion right now.
We’ve gotten a lot of good narrative art so far, but we’re behind on combat art. That will be a new focus for the team going through at least the next four months.
About two years left to go.
We’ve got an overland map.
We’ve got a big shiny box of music tracks.
It’s dark out.
And we’re wearing sunglasses.
