Roll on Back

Hello, friends!

A few weeks ago, I gave a lengthy statement related to the proposed changes to Unity's pricing and terms of service. Since then, the company announced a heavily revised plan that reverses many of the worst elements of the initial proposal. This is a good thing. There is still a question that many people are asking, however. That is, can we still trust Unity as a business partner going forward?

For our part, the question will remain open indefinitely. Considering the high cost of changing engines, we're inclined to stay with Unity as long as the terms remain reasonable. Barring another rug pull, we will probably release Forgotten Faiths with the Unity engine. But the level of interest in exploring and experimenting with new engines will also be higher than it was a few months ago.

Regarding our current progress, design work for the second-to-last story module is now complete. We're now implementing that, which will take a few months. The work continues. Nothing stops this train.

I hope autumn is treating you well. Stay warm.
